About Opera på Skäret

Opera på Skäret is one of Sweden’s largest Summer Festivals. 

At this beautifully situated opera house, you can see world class productions which so far has included La Traviata, Rigoletto, Aida, Tosca, Il Tabarro, Pagliacci, La Bohème and for the summer festival 2011 Carmen. 

The large store house, turned into Opera house, has outstanding acoustics, and has been said to be on the same level as some of the world’s greatest opera stages. 

The company’s policy is to create new and innovative productions of opera, comic opera and concerts, and to attract a new and broader audience for opera. 

Thousands of visitors come to Opera på Skäret during the summer festival each year to experience the magic and unique atmosphere.
